بعد أن وجهت السيدة الأميركية الأولى السابقة(ميشيل أوباما) في افتتاح مؤتمر الحزب الديموقراطي ؛ انتقادا إلى ترامب معتبرة أنه رئيس غير كفؤ يُظهر "افتقاراً تاماً للتعاطف"، وداعية الى انتخاب خصمه الديموقراطي جو بادين في اقتراع الثالث من تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر.

وبعد أن وصف حكومة باراك أوباما بأنها "فاسدة" ؛ كتب الرئيس الجمهوري في تغريدات صباحية ساخرة:
"كانت حكومة Hوباما و(جو) بايدن (نائب الرئيس السابق) الأكثر فسادا في التاريخ. بمجرد اكتشافنا أنهم تجسسوا على فريق حملتي الإنتخابية هو أكبر فضيحة سياسية في تاريخ بلادنا. شكرا لكلماتك اللطيفة ميشيل!".

وأضاف "رجاء، ليشرح أحدهم لميشيل أوباما أن دونالد ترامب لما كان في منصبه اليوم في البيت الأبيض لولا أداء زوجها باراك أوباما".

ومفاخرا بأدائه وبتأسيس حكومته "لأفضل اقتصاد في التاريخ"، أكد ترامب أنه "أنقذ ملايين الأرواح" وأنه يعيد بناء "اقتصاد أكثر قوة من قبل".
وتابع "زاد عدد الوظائف وبلغ مؤشر ناسداك مستويات قياسية والباقي آت! تريثوا وراقبوا".

وانتقد ترامب أيضا كيفية معالجة حكومة أوباما وبايدن لتفشي وباء اتش1 ان1 في 2009 واصفا ردهما ب"الضعيف والمثير للشفقة".

وأكد "انظروا إلى استطلاعات الرأي إنها سيئة فعلا. الفارق الكبير هو أن الإعلام الرخيص الفاسد منحهما شيكا على بياض!".
ويتوقع أن يلقي الرئيس السابق باراك أوباما كلمة مساء الأربعاء لدعم ترشيح نائبه السابق جو بايدن الذي يتصدر استطلاعات الرأي وفقا لموقع "ريل كلير بوليتيكس".
